Job summary

Yakimono in the Melbourne CBD is looking for ready-to-deliver waitstaff to join the Lucas Collective family. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience in a busy, premium environment.

Develop knowledge of food and wine, work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, and uphold station cleanliness. Training is provided, and we value growth, teamwork, and guest-centric service across our group brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume premium restaurant is advantageous.
• Ability to greet, seat guests, take orders, and deliver service.
• Proactive, adaptable and capable of multi-tasking in busy periods.
• Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional guest service from arrival to departure.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for the industry’s best Waitstaff to join our team to deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests. Coordinate and communicate a multitude of elements within the restaurant. You will be guest focused and bring a charismatic approach to your work.

Main Role Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional guest service, from the moment a guest walks in, to the moment they leave
• Greet & seat guests, taking orders, delivering food and drinks to the table
• Demonstrate knowledge of food & wine and genuine interest for hospitality
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of station and service areas at all times
• Proactively carry out any other duties as instructed by Crew Leaders

Experience, Skills & Attributes

• Experience as a section waitstaff in a high volume, premium restaurant is advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding guest expectations
• Adaptable and able to multi-task effectively
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
• Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day to day operations
• Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekend, public holiday, opening and closing shifts
