Job summary

Glorietta & Glory Days in North Sydney is seeking a Section Waiter to join our fast-paced dining team. In this casual role you will take orders, serve guests, and help maintain a spotless section with warm, professional hospitality.

You will work closely with kitchen and bar staff, handle POS transactions, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. RSA preferred; excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in waiter or similar customer-facing hospitality role.
• Strong communication and genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with composure and professionalism.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette, food service procedures and beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Taking food and beverage orders from guests and entering them into the point-of-sale system accurately.
• Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintaining knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and recommendations to assist guests with selections.
• Clearing tables promptly and maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout your section.
• Responding to guest requests and resolving any issues or concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Assisting with table setup and breakdown as required.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and restaurant policies at all times.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen, bar staff and other servers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Handling cash and card payments accurately and securely.

About the role

We are seeking a Section Waiter to join our hospitality team. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, professional dining environment. What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working as a waiter or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment whilst maintaining composure and professionalism
• Sound knowledge of dining etiquette, food service procedures and beverage knowledge
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to punctuality
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
• Food handling and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) certification preferred
