Job summary

Swan Christian Education Association invites applications for a full-time, permanent Science Teacher in our Secondary school in Bedfordale, WA. The role begins on 1 January 2027 and is grounded in a Christian educational ethos.

You will deliver high-quality science instruction, align lessons with the College’s faith-based objectives, and engage in the school community’s spiritual, academic, cultural, and sporting life. A current TRBWA registration and WWCC are required.

Qualifications

• Current TRBWA registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Secondary teaching qualifications and a sound understanding of assessment, evaluation, and effective teaching practice.
• Ability to demonstrate evidence of personal competence in the subject area through folios, workbooks, or teaching notes.

• Model a biblical understanding of Christian Education aligned with the College’s values and practices.

• To demonstrate evidence of personal competence in theirsubject area through the presentation of folio’s workbooks orteaching notes at the interview.
• Ability to apply diverse teaching, learning, and evaluationstrategies to support student learning and achievement.
• Communication, teamwork, and digital skills, with acommitment to positive relationships and Collegeinvolvement.
• Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia(TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check(WWCC) or willingness to apply.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

• To have undertaken formal studies in the area of ChristianEducation, attend a Christian College or be familiar withrelevant books and articles on Christian Education.
• To have experience in the advertised position.
• To have experience in using a digital learning managementsystem as a teaching and learning tool.
