Job summary

Patrician Brothers’ College Blacktown is seeking a skilled and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team in a permanent full-time position commencing in October 2026, or by negotiation.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Years 7–12, demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, and contribute to the college’s academic and co-curricular life while upholding Catholic identity.

Qualifications

• Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education with approval to teach Mathematics.
• Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• Have ability to teach Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2, or willingness to develop in this area.
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and contemporary Mathematics lessons across Years 7–12.
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Challenge and support students to achieve their personal best.

• Cater effectively for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to faculty initiatives.
• Build respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Contribute to the academic, pastoral, spiritual and co-curricular life of the College.
