Job summary

Parks Victoria in Echuca is seeking a Seasonal Ranger to deliver hands-on conservation, visitor and park management across the River Murray reserves. Based in Echuca, you will work with Traditional Owners and communities and help protect Victoria’s parks while creating positive visitor experiences.

This fixed-term role offers broad exposure to park management, visitor services, asset maintenance and community engagement in a rewarding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or skills in conservation and land management, natural resource management, environmental science, outdoor recreation, community engagement, carpentry or a related field.
• Experience delivering on-ground services, projects or operational work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with visitors and stakeholders.
• A current Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-ground park management services across the River Murray Reserve, Echuca Regional Park, Terrick Terrick National Park and surrounding reserves.
• Contribute to visitor facility maintenance, conservation works, asset and infrastructure management, visitor services and compliance activities.
• Engage with communities and stakeholders to support meaningful visitor experiences and park operations.
• Support a safe work environment and collaborate with the Echuca Ranger Team.
