Zusammenfassung

Parks Victoria is seeking a Seasonal Ranger to join a ranger team based at Halls Gap. You will deliver on-ground conservation, facilities maintenance and visitor services to keep parks safe, accessible and enjoyable for visitors.

You’ll work outdoors across pest plant/animal programs, road and track maintenance, and provide accurate park information, engaging with visitors and volunteers. Some weekend and remote work may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Qualifications or skills in environmental science, natural resource management, conservation and land management.
• Experience delivering routine on-ground services under general supervision.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in remote conditions and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Deliver on-ground land, conservation, infrastructure and visitor-management services.
• Support pest plant, pest animal and threatened-species programs.
• Assist with maintaining roads, walking tracks, campgrounds and visitor areas.
• Provide visitors and stakeholders with park information.
• Work safely and report hazards and risks.
• Contribute to cultural heritage protection and partnerships with Traditional Owners.
• Engage with park users, volunteers and operators.
• Identify opportunities to improve park services and visitor experiences.
