Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a Venue Manager to lead Moama and Mathoura Pools for the 2026/2027 summer season. The role is casual, four months, with potential to continue at a year-round site, and requires a reliable leader who can oversee daily operations, create a safe, welcoming environment and drive high standards.

You will coach staff, manage customer experience, and ensure KPIs are met, with training provided to cover the technical aspects.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• CPR certification current.
• First Aid Certificate (Level 2) current.
• National Police Check completed.
• Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Pool Operations Certificate (advantage).
• Lifeguard certificate or willingness to complete the course.

Responsibilities

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Venue Manager to lead our seasonal operations at Moama and Mathoura Pools on a casual basis throughout the summer.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking leader who takes pride in maintaining high standards and creating a positive, accountable team culture. You will oversee daily operations, customer experience, staff performance and venue presentation, ensuring our community enjoys a safe and welcoming environment.

Experience in venue management is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, strong organisational skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to lead a team with confidence and integrity. We can provide the training and support needed to develop the technical aspects of the role.

This role is a 4 month contract, with the opportunity to continue at one of our year round sites. Season timeline, November 2026 - March 2027.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures.
• Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
• Lead and drive a high performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
• Achievement of budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain a high value relationship with local Council
• Implement a high value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
• Recruitment of energetic, diverse and passionate employees as required to compliment the team and the vision for the Centre.

You will be able to share insights into how you have successfully shaped high-performance teams into business actions. Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
• National Police Check
• Working with Vulnerable People
• Legal working rights in Australia
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to successfully complete the course)
