Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a Centre Manager for Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre to lead a multi-pool venue, manage business operations with Council and stakeholders, and deliver programs, activities and tourism events that enhance guest experience and financial performance.

You will motivate a team of staff and foster a high-performance, community-minded culture while ensuring safety and operational excellence at a busy local venue.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a medium sized dynamic team (~60 employees).
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
  • Willing to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificate, National Police Check, Working with Children Check.
  • Legal working rights in Australia.
  • Minimum aquatic operations
  • Operational experience in aquatic, recreation or tourism facilities.
  • Great understanding of local government and processes.
  • Pool Lifeguard & Pool Operations Certificate.

  • Achievement of budgeted performance targets.
  • Maintain a high value relationship with our council partner and local stakeholders such as Tourism Moree.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures.
  • Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
  • Lead and drive a high-performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
  • Recruitment of energetic and passionate employees as required to compliment the team and the vision for the Venue.
  • Maintain facilities to a great standard.

About The Role:

The role is ideal for someone who thrives on initiative, ownership, and building strong foundations by strong people leadership.

Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre is a multi-use aquatic facility supporting an engaged community. The venue consists of 4 pools - 2 Artesian Pools, a Wellness pool, a Program Pool, plus a water slide.

As the Centre Manager of this exceptional venue you will be responsible and accountable for the business operations along with working closely with Council and local stakeholders to drive venue visitations. You will use your exceptional leadership skills to motivate a team of passionate staff, dedicated to serving the wider community through the provision of programs, activities, and tourism events. You will have overall responsibility for the exceptional guest experience and stakeholder relationships while ensuring financial targets are established and achieved.
