Job summary

Macleay Island State School, part of the Queensland Government education system, invites applications for the Business Manager role on Macleay Island near Brisbane. You will oversee corporate services, HR, finance and facilities, reporting to the Principal and working within policy guidelines.

Responsibilities include managing school support staff, payroll and timesheets, budgeting, asset management, and coordinating tech and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomously to undertake day-to-day office procedures within well-defined policies (e.g. reception, appointments, correspondence, records, admin).
• Oversee supervision and management of school support staff; monitor workloads and performance.
• Approve timesheets, leave, rosters and organise relief for support staff; recruit, induct and train staff.
• Assist the Principal with budgeting and day-to-day financial matters (accounts payable/receivable, cards, reconciliations).
• Input/export data to OneSchool to assist budgeting and financial management.
• Manage school resources, assets and facilities; coordinate repairs, minor works and external advice as needed.
• Coordinate technical support for computers, iPads, digital boards, scanning and other equipment.
