Job summary

NSW Department of Education's Colyton High School in the Sydney region is seeking a School Learning Support Officer for a full-time ongoing role. You will work under a teacher to support students with diverse learning needs, contributing to their educational outcomes.

Responsibilities include student welfare, health and wellbeing activities, and potential support in streams such as pre-school, vision, hearing, or bilingual settings, with training provided as required.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance
• Completion of mandatory training required by the Department of Education and willingness to undertake first aid training
• Administration of Medications – training provided based on student needs
• Health support training provided based on student needs

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments
• Assist with student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required
• Provide support for students in streams/settings such as pre-school, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual
