Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School on Waiben Island (Thursday Island) is seeking a School Learning Officer to support learning and engagement for Prep to Year 6 students. The role is term-time permanent (30 hours per week) with a pay rate of $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour plus 12.75% super.

The successful candidate will work with classroom teachers and the Leader of Diversity, performing duties to assist learning programs, classroom materials, and student support in a remote Torres Strait

Qualifications

• Assist developmentally appropriate student learning, individually or in groups under supervision.
• Prepare and clear away materials for display/use in classrooms or libraries under supervision.
• Collate, staple, bind, fold, and cut printed materials for classroom use.

Responsabilités

• Support student learning and engagement alongside teachers and Leader of Diversity.
• Assist with preparing and implementing learning programs and supervising classroom activities.
• Maintain appropriate behaviours with children and support students with physical needs.
