Job summary

The Y Victoria is seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs in Warragul North. This casual role runs Monday to Friday with hours varying; holiday shifts 6:30am–6:30pm between Sept 21 and Oct 2.

You will deliver engaging OSHC sessions, support children’s learning, and build strong relationships with families while working with a supportive OSHC team.

Qualifications

• Position requires ACECQA-approved qualification (see link) or willing to enrol.
• First Aid in Education & Care Setting certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Victorian Working with Children Check (employee check).

Responsibilities

• Deliver before and after school care sessions and school holiday programs.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the school community.
• Work with OSHC team under a Coordinator to support activities and supervision.

What's the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within Warragul North. This is a casual position, with working hours varying from Monday to Friday. School Holidays shifts vary across 6:30am - 6:30pm and will run from 21st of September - 2nd of October.

The hourly rate for the position is between $40.59 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You'll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check – employee check
