Job summary

Y Victoria is seeking Casual Educators to run School Holiday Programs in Wangaratta. Shifts run 6:30am–6:30pm, with the hourly rate starting at AUD 40.59 plus retention payment and superannuation.

You’ll empower children, work with a supportive OSHC team and a dedicated Coordinator, and help create engaging experiences for school communities. Applicants should have ACECQA- approved qualifications or be enrolling, plus First Aid in Education & Care and a Victorian Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• ACEcQA-approved qualifications required or willing to enrol
• First Aid in Education & Care Setting certificate required or in progress
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check required or in progress

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging OSHC activities for school holidays between 6:30am–6:30pm
• Support the OSHC team and Coordinator to foster positive relationships with children and families
• Follow Y Victoria policies to ensure child safety and wellbeing

Job description

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for School Holiday Programs within Wangaratta. School Holidays shifts vary across 6:30am - 6:30pm.

The hourly rate for the position is between $40.59 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
