Job summary

John Paul College in Frankston, VIC, seeks a compassionate First Aid Officer to join the Student Services team. You will provide frontline healthcare, coordinate medical management plans and respond to a wide range of health needs in a busy secondary school.

The role is ideal for an experienced First Aid Officer, Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse who is passionate about student health and safety and who can work calmly under pressure within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Provide First Aid in line with HLTAID011 and CPR requirements.
• Experience in health, nursing or first aid roles in school or similar setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage student medical needs and liaise with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard first aid and respond to illnesses, injuries, emergencies.
• Coordinate student medical management plans and health care plans.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, staff and health professionals.
• Support students with chronic health needs (asthma, diabetes, etc.).
• Coordinate health requirements for camps and events.
• Maintain medical records, medication registers and confidential health info.
• Monitor first aid supplies and emergency equipment.
• Assist in staff health-related training and programs.
• Ensure compliance with child safety and health regulations.
