John Paul College in Frankston is seeking a compassionate and highly organised First Aid Officer to join our Student Services team. This role provides frontline healthcare, coordinates student medical plans and responds to a range of health needs in a busy secondary school environment.

You will ensure the Health Centre runs smoothly, liaise with families and medical professionals, manage medications and training, and support immunisation programs.

Formación

• Experience in a health, nursing, first aid or similar role.
• Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated experience responding to medical incidents and emergencies.
• Excellent communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working within a school or youth setting.
• Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse qualifications.
• Advanced First Aid qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a high standard of first aid care and respond to illnesses, injuries and emergencies.
• Coordinate and maintain student medical management plans and health care plans.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, staff and medical professionals regarding student health.
• Support students with chronic and complex health needs including asthma, anaphylaxis and diabetes.
• Coordinate health and medical requirements for camps, excursions and events.
• Maintain medical records, medication registers and confidential health information.
• Monitor first aid supplies and emergency medications.
• Support immunisation programs and health promotion initiatives.
• Assist in staff first aid, anaphylaxis and health-related training.
• Ensure compliance with child safety, health and safety requirements.
