Job summary

Holy Spirit Primary St Clair – St Clair NSW is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Officer to support day-to-day upkeep of the school grounds and facilities. The role involves general maintenance, gardening support, and operation of turf machinery to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

The position is ongoing part-time (40 hours per week) with a negotiable commencement date. A Trade qualification is desirable; WWCC and medical assessment are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification is not essential but highly desirable.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
• A valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repair and maintenance tasks.
• Support gardening and horticultural work with planting and care of garden areas.
• Operate, maintain and adjust turf and grounds machinery.
• Assist with safe application of fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides.
• Support building and furniture maintenance with qualified tradespersons.
• May perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
