Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Clermont is seeking a Facilities Officer (Groundsperson) for 16 hpw during term time. The role covers groundskeeping, basic building upkeep and event space setup, reporting to the principal. The successful applicant will maintain safe grounds and assist with minor repairs.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate ($32.53–$33.22) with entitlements including superannuation and leave, reflecting the Catholic Education ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and basic building upkeep.
• Ability to perform physical work safely and with care.
• Must hold a current Blue Card (WWC) and Suitability Notice.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, trim and fertilise turf; maintain gardens.
• Repair and maintain irrigation systems and equipment.
• Assist with minor building maintenance and set-up for events.
