St Mary's Cathedral College Sydney is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Operations Officer to coordinate facilities maintenance, contractor management, and compliance at the William St Campus. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, compliant environment that supports student learning outcomes.

The role involves managing preventative and reactive maintenance, contractor inductions, emergency procedures, and asset management.

Qualificações

• minimum of 2 years' experience in a facilities or maintenance management role
• understanding of WHS requirements and risk management practices
• coordinate maintenance activities and manage competing priorities
• coordinating works with contractors and multiple trade groups
• proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suites
• uphold Catholic Church values within Sydney Catholic Schools
• familiarity with building management systems
• experience managing compliance and statutory maintenance requirements
• practical maintenance skills
• current driver's license and access to a car
• knowledge of Catholic Systemic Schools/Systems
• is a practising Catholic with ongoing commitment to Catholic teachings

Responsabilidades

• identifying, scheduling, prioritising, and monitoring preventative, reactive, and project-based facilities maintenance works
• identifying hazards, assessing risks, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions
• ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and risk management requirements
• supporting emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, incident response, and business continuity
• undertaking minor maintenance and repair tasks (carpentry, locks, cabinetry, plumbing)
• coordinating, inducting, supervising, and evaluating contractors and service providers
• coordinating Maintenance Officers through work allocation, training, guidance, and teamwork
• coordinating school security operations and access control for events
• supporting asset management and facilities planning, identifying infrastructure needs
• monitoring maintenance budgets, processing service requests, maintaining records
