Job summary

Queensland Department of Education – Queensland is seeking an AO3 Facilities Officer to join the team at Southport Special School on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on safe, well-maintained facilities, efficient operations and supporting positive student outcomes within a collaborative school community.

You will work with the Principal, Business Manager and Leadership Team to deliver school improvement priorities, manage contractors, and oversee procurement and compliance with department

Qualifications

• Strong project management and facilities coordination experience.
• Experience with procurement processes and WHS requirements.
• Asset and records management capabilities.
• Ability to improve administrative processes in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors, cleaners and grounds staff to maintain school facilities.
• Oversee procurement, scope management and workplace health and safety compliance.
• Support school improvement priorities and positive student outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Education policies and legislation.
