Qualifications

• Proactively undertake maintenance duties including some trade experience relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of people in a working environment.
• Proven ability to use highly developed organisational skills to investigate, prioritise, take appropriate action and address maintenance and grounds issues as they rise.
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of a team, follow instructions and take on responsibility with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and practices.
• A strong ethic and a sense of pride in efficiently completing work to a high standard and in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance, modifications and repairs to school equipment.
• Complete maintenance of the school grounds.
• Complete daily maintenance of the swimming pool.
• Coordinate purchase of items for the above.
• Ensure compliance of safe work practices within the principles of Occupational Health and Safety.
• Organise work priorities with the Principal and Facilities Manager.
• Undertake other related duties as requested by the Principal and Facilities Manager.
• Work flexibly and reliably within tight guidelines and with minimal direction in a team environment.
• Operate in a professional, courteous, efficient manner at all times respecting confidentiality.
