Job summary

Queensland Government seeks an AO4 Marketing Officer for Clontarf Beach State High School. You will coordinate major school events, manage calendars, and oversee logistics, budgets and stakeholder engagement to showcase school spirit and align with values.

You will work with the Principal, Leadership Team and external partners to deliver high-standard programs, community initiatives and significant school activities, with emphasis on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planning, organisation and delivery of major school events (Awards Night, Graduation, Open Days, etc.).
• Develop and maintain an annual events calendar with milestones and responsibilities.
• Oversee event logistics: venue, facilities, equipment, catering, invitations and registrations.
• Engage with Principal, Executive Leadership Team, staff, external providers and the community to ensure events meet priorities.
• Develop procedures, checklists, timelines and evaluation processes for consistency and improvement.
• Coordinate budgets, procurement, and expenditure with the Business Manager and budget holders.
• Identify and manage operational risks with appropriate risk assessments and safety arrangements.
• Review event effectiveness and propose improvements for efficiency and stakeholder engagement.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Business Manager or delegate.
