Job summary

Hoban is seeking a School Crossing Supervisor to help children, parents, and the community cross roads safely and politely near crossings and traffic lights. Hours will be rostered at start/end of school days to fit a part-time schedule.

You will be part of a role valued by the local community, with duties including safety checks, incidents reporting, and maintaining professionalism in all interactions with children and adults.

Qualifications

• Currently hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check & Clear Police check.
• Be medically fit.
• Be able to engage with children, parents, teachers and members of the community.
• Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle (ideal, but not a necessity)
• Access to a Smartphone for timesheet purposes
• Availability Monday to Friday, from 7.45am to 9.00am and 2.30pm to 4.00pm.

Job description

As a School Crossing Supervisor your key role will be to help children, parents, and community members safely
across the road, teach them how to use a crossing safely and provide a courteous service to pedestrians. Hours of
work will be rostered at the start or end of school days.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting children, families, and pedestrians to safely cross at children's crossings and traffic lights
• Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and potential risks
• Maintain a high level of awareness and professionalism.
