Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a dedicated School Crossing Supervisor for Galilee Catholic Primary School – North Bondi. The role runs during peak school start and finish times, offering predictable hours and a focus on child safety.

You’ll be part of a team that helps local families move safely to and from school, with uniforms and training provided. Applicants must be 18+, and will complete checks and a health assessment as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment.
• Training, uniforms and equipment provided.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and Health Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school crossing for Galilee Catholic Primary School – North Bondi during designated hours.
• Ensure children's safety while crossing roads and interacting with parents and motorists.
• Maintain reliable attendance for 20 hours per fortnight and perform duties in all weather conditions.

School Crossing Supervisor - Part time - Galilee Catholic Primary School - North Bondi

Galilee Catholic Primary School - North Bondi shifts fall between the school zone hours of 8:15AM – 9:15AM and 2:30PM – 3:30PM, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. School Crossings require 20 hours of supervising per fortnight. You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation, and you will also be compensated during school holidays from Terms 1 to 3.

About you You're a community minded person who would like to contribute. You’d get a kick out of making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy. You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather. You’ll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. And one more thing! As you’ll be working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before, we will help you through the process! If you already have a Working with Children Check, that’s fantastic as that will speed up the process.
