Job summary

Whitehorse City Council is seeking School Crossing Supervisors to help children cross roads at established school crossings and traffic lights within the Whitehorse municipality. Shifts are 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon (maximum 1.5 hours per day) depending on your availability.

We provide uniforms, equipment and ongoing support, with a full training program before starting. To be considered, you should have a current driver's licence with reliable transport, the

• Have a current driver’s licence and vehicle or reliable transport.
• Be able to follow road safety procedures and have a strong focus on surroundings.
• Attend shifts at short notice and be prepared to take phone calls from 7am on school days.
• Be willing to work in varying weather conditions.
• Be positive with a friendly attitude.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively in English with people of all ages.
• Undertake eLearning when necessary.
• Successfully complete the pre-employment medical, police and working with children checks.
• Be willing to install a timesheet mobile application on your smart phone; training support available.
