Job summary

Dubbo College South Campus in regional NSW is seeking a qualified School Counsellor to provide counselling and psychological assessment to support student learning and wellbeing.

Based at the South Campus, you will work with primary and high school students, collaborate with teachers and families, and participate in supervision and professional development while benefiting from a comprehensive salary package and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions with a demonstrated understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people.
• Experience in the psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and report writing.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to improve the learning and wellbeing outcomes of children and young people including students from diverse backgrounds and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment to support student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Work across primary and high school aged students, collaborating with teachers, families and external agencies.
• Engage in regular supervision and participate in group and peer supervision within a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to continuing professional development and maintain regulatory registrations.
