Job summary

Condobolin Public School is seeking a School Counsellor to support student wellbeing and learning across primary and high school ages in Condobolin, NSW. The role involves counselling and psychological assessment, supervision, and collaboration with teachers, families, and external agencies.

The successful applicant will work under the NSW Department of Education, with access to rural incentives, supervision, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Experience using evidence-based counselling interventions for children and young people.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and reports.
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, school staff and external agencies to improve learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment to students to support learning and wellbeing.
• Engage with families to understand and manage students’ mental health needs.
• Collaborate with school communities and external agencies as part of a multidisciplinary team.
