Qualifications

• Qualified as a psychologist, social worker, mental health nurse, occupational therapist or counsellor.
• Demonstrated direct counselling experience.
• Registration with an applicable professional board (AHPRA, ACA or PACFA).
• Current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and professional learning to staff to build the capacity of schools to improve students wellbeing, learning and developmental outcomes.
• Deliver mental health prevention and promotion activities and early intervention services for students with a range of mental health needs.
• Plan and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for students with complex needs, including collaboration with families and agencies.
• Coordinate supports for students with complex needs within and external to the school, including collaboration with regions and health providers.
• Maintain professional competence and continued professional development, including confidentiality and child safety obligations.
