Qualifications

• Ability to implement small group and whole-school mental health prevention and promotion activities.
• Input into development, implementation and evaluation of processes and strategies for wellbeing prevention, promotion and early intervention.
• Direct counselling experience for students with mental health needs.
• Coordinate supports for students with complex needs and referrals to specialist services.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and professional learning to staff to improve student wellbeing.
• Delivering mental health prevention, promotion and early intervention activities.
• Planning and implementing intervention strategies for students with complex needs, coordinating with families and other professionals.
• Collaborating with the school to enhance mental health promotion across the school.
• Liaising with school nurses, Student Support Services and external providers for student support.
• Maintaining professional competence and ongoing development.
• Meeting privacy and consent requirements for student health information.
