Job summary

Westpac Bank in Sydney seeks a Scholarship Program Director to lead the Westpac Scholars Trust flagship Future Leaders and Research Fellow programs. You will build meaningful partnerships with universities, scholars and industry leaders across Australia and bring strategy to life through exceptional program delivery.

You will manage budgets, deliver insights for investment decisions and drive cross-sector collaboration, with a hybrid work setup and quarterly travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex programs from strategy through delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, reporting and insights.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, universities and external partners.
• Strong judgement and problem-solving; navigate governance, risk and competing priorities.
• Outstanding communication to executive and board audiences.

As Scholarship Program Director, you'll lead Westpac Scholars Trust's flagship Future Leaders and Research Fellow programs, building meaningful partnerships with universities, scholars, researchers and industry leaders across Australia. You'll bring strategy to life through exceptional program delivery, creating experiences that inspire leadership, foster innovation and strengthen connections between education, industry and community.

This is a permanent Sydney-based role with hybrid working flexibility. This role may involve occasional travel, typically on a quarterly basis, depending on business requirements.

What do I need?

• Proven experience leading complex programs or initiatives from strategy through to delivery and continuous improvement.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, deliver financial reporting and generate meaningful insights to support decision-making and investment outcomes.
• The ability to build trusted partnerships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, universities and external partners.
• Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to navigate governance, risk and competing priorities.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present insights, recommendations and reports to executive and board-level audiences.
