Job summary

Howard Plumbing in Banksmeadow is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Dispatcher to keep our team of plumbers moving across strata, real estate and residential jobs. You’ll coordinate multiple crews, book access with owners and managers, and manage urgent work without derailing the day.

Based in our Banksmeadow office, this full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm. You’ll work with a tight-knit team, enjoy onsite parking, and benefit from a long-standing business with 50+ years’ industry

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling/dispatch in a busy trades or service business.
• Basic plumbing knowledge and terminology helpful.
• Solid hands-on simPRO experience.
• Familiarity with strata and real estate processes: work orders, tenant access and approvals.
• Clear, friendly phone manner with owners, tenants and agents.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Calm head when multiple urgent jobs land at once.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch jobs across the team in SimPRO, ensuring efficient routing across the Banksmeadow patch.
• Book access with owners, tenants and property managers and keep strata managers/homeowners updated.
• Slot urgent and emergency work without disrupting the day’s plan.
• Handle calls and emails promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with plumbers to cut travel time and improve daily productivity.
• Prepare and submit client reports, service records, and other supporting documentation.
• Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and cost tracking.

Howard Plumbing has been at this for over 55 years — one of the longest-established plumbing businesses in Sydney. We specialise in strata, commercial, real estate and residential plumbing across the Eastern Suburbs, CBD, Inner West and North Shore. The phones are busy, the Inbox is humming, and the days move fast.

We are looking for an experienced Scheduler to keep our team of plumbers moving. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love solving logistical puzzles and can stay calm when the phones won’t stop ringing, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note this role is based 5 days a week in our Banksmeadow office. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The work

You’ll be the hub of the operation, coordinating multiple plumbers across a steady flow of strata, real estate and residential jobs. Day to day, that means:

• Scheduling and dispatching jobs across the team in SimPRO, with routing that makes sense for a patch that crosses the harbour
• Booking access with owners, tenants and property managers and keeping strata managers and homeowners updated
• Slotting in urgent and emergency work without wrecking the rest of the day
• Handling calls and emails promptly and professionally
• Working closely with the plumbers to cut travel time and keep the day productive
• Prepare and submit client reports, service records, and other supporting documentation
• Assist with invoicing, purchasing orders, and cost tracking

What you’ll bring

• Scheduling or dispatch experience in a busy trade or service business (plumbing experience highly regarded)
• General understanding of trades/building services; in particular basic plumbing knowledge and terminology
• Solid hands-on simPRO experience
• Familiarity with strata and real estate processes: work orders, tenant access and approvals
• A clear, friendly phone manner with owners, tenants and agents
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
