Job summary

The Autism Association of Western Australia is seeking a Scheduler for a Permanent Full-Time role based in Shenton Park. You will report to the Scheduling Coordinator and ensure timely rostering of staff to support clients across all demographics.

You will manage rosters, handle leave and training, and liaise with internal stakeholders to answer scheduling inquiries. The successful candidate will have rostering experience in disability or aged care, strong MS Office/CRM skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

  • Scheduling or rostering experience, preferably within Disability or Aged Care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management and rostering software.
  • Strong organisation and time management with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Customer service focus with understanding of person-centred and inclusive support for people with autism.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Support Worker and Coordinator scheduling and rosters.
  • Create rosters and distribute to staff.
  • Contact staff to cover shortfalls including emergencies.
  • Process leave requests, induction, training, new starters and invoices.
  • Answer general scheduling enquiries from internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the Scheduling Coordinator, the Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate rostering of staff to deliver responsive services to our clients. You will ensure individual client needs are supported by making sure the right staff with the right skills and qualifications are rostered to work with the individual. Duties include but not limited to:


  • Management of Support Worker and Coordinator scheduling and rosters
  • Creating rosters and distributing them to support staff.
  • Contacting staff to cover staff shortfalls including emergency replacements.
  • Processing leave requests, induction paperwork, training schedules, new starters & invoices
  • Answer general scheduling enquiries from internal stakeholders.

About You

You will have strong communication skills and be confident speaking with individuals from all demographics and backgrounds. You'll have a systematic approach, excellent attention to detail and confidence in working across multiple platforms. You have a 'can do' attitude and are proactive and logical in your problem-solving approach. To succeed in this role, you will also have:


  • Scheduling or rostering experience, preferably within the Disability or Aged Care sector, or similar
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management, and rostering software.
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong customer service focus with understanding of person-centred and inclusive support of people with Autism
  • Proven ability to use initiative and work both independently and in a collaboratively.
