Job summary

K&S Freighters, a leading Australian transport and logistics provider, is seeking a Fleet Controller to direct and optimise daily transport operations across road, rail and sea, ensuring safety, compliance and exceptional service.

Reporting to the State manager, you will coordinate fleet and subcontractor scheduling, monitor movements, and drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport scheduling, fleet control or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of fatigue management and transport compliance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily fleet and subcontractor scheduling.
• Managing manifests and transport movements.
• Monitoring driver fatigue compliance and Safe Driver Plans.
• Maintaining strong communication with drivers and customers.
• Investigating service failures and operational incidents.
• Ensuring compliance with transport laws, accreditation schemes and company policies.
• Reporting delays, incidents and non-conformances promptly.
