Eagles Engineers seeks a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead design and commissioning of SCADA, automation, and control systems for major Australian power projects. You will shape substations, grid connections, and renewables from concept to delivery, configuring RTUs and communications networks with a multidisciplinary team.
Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control Systems Engineering and 8+ years in engineering consultancy, EPC, or energy infrastructure are required.

Join a team delivering the control systems that power Australia’s energy future. As a Senior SCADA Engineer, you will lead the design and engineering of SCADA, automation and control systems across major power transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll play a key role in shaping large-scale substations, grid connections and critical energy infrastructure from concept through to delivery. Lead the design and commissioning of substation automation systems, from concept through to as built across a portfolio of power transmission and distribution, and renewable energy projects. Develop and configure SCADA and Controls design packages, automation and control system solutions for major energy infrastructure projects. Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams to develop, configure, test and commission integrated control systems that support critical energy infrastructure. Prepare functional design specifications, drawings, standards and technical documentation. Design and configure RTUs, communications networks and system architectures. Support integration of substations, renewable generation, battery storage and power management systems. Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and support system validation activities. Develop commissioning procedures, test plans and acceptance criteria. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and communications issues during commissioning and energisation phases.
How you can support Eagles
Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems Engineering.
Min 8+ years of experience within engineering consultancy, EPC, power utilities, energy infrastructure or electrical project environments.
Design and Engineering expertise in high voltage substation design from concept to commissioning including knowledge of industry and different client standards.
Experience in specifying and configuring SCADA systems in a substation environment.
Working knowledge of different SCADA and Communications products used on substation and power generation projects.
Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards.
Strong background in SCADA, RTUs, HMIs and industrial control systems.
Experience with substation automation and/or power generation control systems.
