Job summary

Evoenergy in Canberra is seeking a SCADA Engineer - Automation Systems to support secure, reliable delivery of secondary systems projects across our network. You will manage applications used to control access to protection, SCADA and communications devices, including relays, RTUs and Ethernet switches.

You will collaborate with SCADA and Automation Systems specialists to solve technical problems, strengthen cyber security controls and deliver projects from IEC 61850 upgrades to monitoring

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical/automation/IT with relevant discipline.
• Experience with SCADA, automation systems and network configurations.
• Understanding of cyber security risks affecting secondary systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance remote access and configuration management systems.
• Develop automation templates, device configurations and test plans.
• Configure SCADA and monitoring projects including power quality and substations.
• Support IEC 61850 zone substation engineering and lab testing.
• Identify and remediate cyber security vulnerabilities across systems.
• Maintain asset data and support maintenance strategies and replacements.
• Monitor substation devices and report on SCADA quality and health.
• Improve Automation Systems processes and align with safety standards.
