Pentarch Group is seeking an experienced Saw Technician in Imbil, Queensland, to join our timber manufacturing operations. The role focuses on sharpening, tuning, and maintaining circular and band saws, with a 38-hour, four-day week and a rostered day off on Monday or Friday.

The ideal candidate has a trade certificate in Saw Doctoring, strong maintenance skills, great attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset. Timber industry knowledge is valued.

Join our team at Imbil in a permanent Saw Technician role. We are keen to use your experience with circular and band saws and a range of tools.

We’re looking for an experienced Saw Technician / Saw Doctor to join our timber manufacturing operations in Imbil, south of Gympie. Offering 38 hours per week across a four-day working week, with either Monday or Friday as your rostered day off (RDO), this is a great opportunity to join a supportive team in a permanent, full-time role.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Sharpening, tensioning, levelling and aligning circular and band saws.
• Maintaining, servicing and repairing saw blades and cutting equipment.
• Inspecting saws, knives and tooling for wear, damage and faults.
• Maintaining chipper knives, blades and other cutting tools.
• Diagnosing faults and completing minor repairs and adjustments.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

About you

• A completed or near-completed Trade Certificate in Saw Doctoring.
• Strong saw maintenance skills and mechanical aptitude.
