Job summary

AKD Softwoods is hiring a Saw Technician for our Caboolture site in South East Queensland. The role focuses on maintaining sawing machines and ensuring top quality performance using the latest milling technology.

You will work with the team to service and monitor equipment and develop multi-skilled capabilities across hands-on tasks. The ideal candidate has a trade certificate in Saw Doctoring or related Manufacturing/Process Improvement experience and leadership as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Excellence in maintain sawing machines, tools, and performance to a high standard.
• Working with the team to complete alignments, services and monitoring sawing machines across the sites.
• Run CPI based service routines.
• Be multi skilled across a number of hands on tasks, with development across a number of areas.
• Perform routine service work and preventative maintenance to ensure our saws are first class.
