Job summary

Optus Enterprise is seeking an Associate Satellite Controller to operate and maintain satellite telemetry, tracking and command systems on site in Belrose, Sydney. The role involves real-time on-orbit operations and working within a small team under supervision, with training toward Optus Satellite Control Certification.

Candidates should hold a relevant engineering qualification, be an Australian citizen, and be committed to obtaining security clearance.

Qualifications

Australian citizenship or ability to obtain Defence security clearance.
Tertiary qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Aerospace.
Interest in completing satellite controller certification (~2 years).

Responsibilities

Ensure health, safety, and performance of spacecraft under Optus control.
Operate and maintain ground telemetry, tracking, and command hardware.
Perform routine TTC control activities and respond to anomalies and failures.
Work in a small team under the Satellite Control Shift Leader.
Gain expertise to Optus Satellite Control Certification standard.
Participate in ongoing training for new TTC ground systems and spacecraft types.
