Job summary

CHC Helicopter Australia seeks an experienced SAR Aircrew Officer to operate across onshore/offshore roles, including Rappelling, Sling Loading, and Winching. You’ll support aircraft rear cabin operations, perform safety briefings, and ensure rapid, safe responses in emergency situations.

The role demands fitness, resilience, and the ability to travel to CHC bases and deployment locations. Relocation support and an area allowance are provided to successful candidates.

• Proven ability to operate in high-stress SAR/EMS environments.

• Proficiency with flight operations procedures and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain qualifications – Aircrew Officer.
• Possess dual qualifications – Aircrew & Rescue Crew Officer (optional).
• Conduct safe flight operations per manuals and regulations.
• Support aircraft rear cabin management during flying operations.
• Provide pre-flight and post-flight briefings and risk assessments.
• Render appropriate first aid and manage safety deficiencies.
