Job description

You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype. The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is shaping up to be a defining year. Our store network is expanding, our operations are evolving, and we’re growing towards 700 stores. Behind every transaction, every business decision, and every successful store is a strong financial systems foundation — and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an experienced SAP Functional Analyst (FICO) to join our Technology team at the Store Support Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of SAP Finance and Controlling functionality within our Australian business, helping bring established Dollarama processes into Australia while strengthening our in-house SAP capability.

Working closely with business stakeholders, other functional analysts, and our experienced Functional team in Canada, you’ll play a key role in adopting proven SAP functionality, improving financial processes, and supporting the continued evolution of our SAP environment. You’ll be the primary FICO functional specialist in Australia, with strong support from our Canadian colleagues and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

This role is ideal for someone with solid hands‑on SAP FICO experience, strong business engagement skills, and the confidence to take ownership of functional outcomes. If you’re looking for more responsibility, greater exposure to solution design, and the opportunity to help shape an evolving SAP environment within a growing national retailer, this is your chance to take the next step.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading the adoption of SAP Finance and Controlling functionality already established in Canada, ensuring it is effectively implemented within our Australian business.

  • Working closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable SAP solutions.

  • Taking hands‑on responsibility for SAP FICO functional analysis, solution design, configuration, and ongoing improvements.

  • Collaborating with the Functional team in Canada to align Australian financial processes with global standards while identifying where local requirements need to be addressed.

  • Acting as the primary SAP FICO functional specialist in Australia, taking ownership of functional activities while drawing on the expertise and support of our Canadian team.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, drive efficiencies, and make better use of existing SAP functionality.

  • Working alongside other functional analysts to understand dependencies across the SAP landscape and ensure solutions support broader business requirements.

  • Contributing to the planning and prioritisation of SAP Finance initiatives over the next 12–18 months.

  • Supporting the transition towards greater in‑house SAP capability, helping reduce reliance on external partners and build sustainable internal expertise.

  • Engaging regularly with our Canadian Functional team, including early‑morning meetings to support collaboration across time zones. Flexible working arrangements, including working from home, may be available.

What you’ll bring
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP functional roles, with solid expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO).

  • Experience in SAP functional analysis, configuration, solution design, implementation, or ongoing system improvement.

  • A sound understanding of financial business processes and the ability to translate finance requirements into effective SAP solutions.

  • A broader understanding of SAP and its interconnected modules, with the ability to consider downstream impacts and cross‑functional dependencies.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work directly with finance teams, technical colleagues, and international stakeholders.

  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership of functional deliverables, and make sound decisions while knowing when to draw on wider expertise.

  • A practical, analytical approach to problem‑solving, with a focus on process improvement and business outcomes.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working across teams and time zones.

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work at pace in a changing business environment.

  • Experience working with international teams or within a complex business environment will be highly regarded.

What we can offer you
  • The opportunity to join a major Australian retailer during an exciting period of growth, backed by global retail giant Dollarama.

  • A key functional role where you can take ownership of SAP FICO and directly influence how financial processes are supported across the business.

  • The opportunity to help bring established Canadian SAP functionality into Australia, improving consistency, efficiency, and financial processes.

  • Strong support and collaboration from an experienced Functional team in Canada, giving you access to broader knowledge and expertise.

  • The chance to help build and strengthen our in‑house SAP capability as we reduce reliance on external partners.

  • Greater ownership and visibility than you might find in a larger, more established SAP team, with the opportunity to shape solutions and influence decisions.

  • Potential to progress into a broader functional leadership role as our Australian team continues to grow.

  • Flexible working arrangements, including the potential to work from home, with the flexibility to support collaboration with our Canadian colleagues.

  • Employee benefits including paid parental leave, wellbeing initiatives, and EAP support.

  • A professional, inclusive environment that values collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and getting the job done right.

This is more than an SAP FICO role. It’s your opportunity to take ownership of a critical business function, help bring global SAP capability into Australia, and grow your career alongside a business entering its next chapter of expansion.

Please note that interviews are being conducted onsite, and candidates must be currently living in Melbourne.
