Job summary

Precision Sourcing Australia is seeking an senior SAP Finance architect to lead end-to-end finance solutions across large transformation programmes. You will govern design, strategy and governance for SAP S/4HANA Finance and related ecosystems, collaborating with executive stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in SAP Finance, deep S/4HANA and Controlling expertise, and experience guiding complex cross-functional SAP Finance initiatives across onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and governance of SAP Finance solutions across large-scale transformation programmes.
• Define end-to-end finance solutions aligned with business strategy and SAP best practice.
• Facilitate architecture workshops with executives, business and technology stakeholders.
• Guide design decisions across finance, integration, data, security and technical domains.
• Establish and drive Solution Design Authority governance and architectural oversight.
• Assess options, identify risks and recommend sustainable design outcomes.
• Resolve cross-functional challenges balancing business requirements and SAP standards.
• Act as the primary SAP Finance architecture advisor to programme and client leadership.
• Govern solution documentation, design standards and requirements traceability.

This is a senior client-facing role requiring deep SAP Finance expertise, strong design governance and the ability to resolve complex solution challenges across SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and governance of SAP Finance solutions across large-scale transformation programmes.
• Define end-to-end finance solutions aligned with business strategy, enterprise architecture and SAP best practice.
• Facilitate architecture and solution design workshops with executive, business and technology stakeholders.
• Guide critical design decisions across finance, integration, data, security and technical domains.
• Establish and drive Solution Design Authority governance and architectural oversight.
• Assess solution options, identify architectural risks and recommend sustainable design outcomes.
• Resolve complex cross-functional challenges while balancing business requirements, SAP standards and long-term maintainability.
• Act as the primary SAP Finance architecture advisor to programme and client leadership.
• Govern solution documentation, design standards, architecture decisions and requirements traceability.
• Provide thought leadership on SAP S/4HANA Finance, emerging capabilities and finance transformation trends.

Experience & Qualifications

• More than 12 years of experience in SAP Finance, including significant solution architecture experience.
• Deep expertise across SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling.
• Proven experience architecting and governing complex, end-to-end SAP transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance integration with procurement, supply chain, projects, asset management, data and reporting.
• Demonstrated capability in architecture leadership, solution governance and design assurance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Experience designing SAP Finance solutions across complex business and technology environments.
• Exposure to RISE with SAP and/or GROW with SAP delivery models.
• Experience in public sector or not-for-profit environments would be highly regarded.
• Exposure to Selective Data Transition, Group Reporting, Advanced Financial Closing, Central Finance or Document and Reporting Compliance would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Grant Management and/or Funds Management would be desirable.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
