Job summary

Intertek in Australia is seeking a Sample Preparer to operate mills, splitters and crushers for mineral samples. The role includes sorting, weighing, drying and bagging samples, while adhering to safety and quality procedures. Shifts run Monday to Friday on a rotating 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm schedule; weekend work may be required to meet demand.

Duties

Sample Preparers operate machinery to crush, split and pulverise raw mineral samples. The primary responsibilities of the role include:

• Sorting samples,
• Weighing samples,
• Drying samples,
• Operating mills, splitters and crushers,
• Bagging samples, and
• Following all Intertek policies and procedures, including regarding safety, production, quality and human resources.

The role requires the successful applicant to work shift work Monday to Friday on a rotating schedule: 6am - 2pm or2pm - 10pm.Applicants should be able and willing to work all shifts. (Weekend work may be available to meet production demands).Sample Preparation is in a dusty and noisy environment, and Sample Preparers are required to work in environmental temperatures.
