You will support apprentices and stylists, uphold Wakefields’ standards, and ensure every client enjoys a polished Wakefields experience from arrival to checkout.

This leadership-first role focuses on team coordination, front-of-house excellence, and a calm, professional demeanor that others rely on daily.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or coordinating a team, ideally in a salon, hospitality, or retail environment.
• A natural, calm presence that people trust and respect.
• Front-of-house or customer service experience with confidence managing bookings and client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, proactive, and able to keep a busy floor running without losing the personal touch.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person on the floor — provide direction, support, and a steady presence during busy periods.
• Manage schedule flow and adjust on the fly when plans change.
• Ensure the salon is tidy, welcoming, and ready before doors open.
• Support apprentices and junior team members with day-to-day guidance.
• Act as first point of contact on the floor and escalate beyond scope to the Salon Manager.
