Job summary

Tassal Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the Dover Processing Facility, located about 80km south of Hobart. This permanent, full-time role operates on a 5 days on, 3 days off roster, leading the Offload team and ensuring safe forklift operations in a busy salmon production environment.

You will drive productivity while upholding HACCP food-safety standards and continuous improvement, reporting to the Afternoon Shift Manager and supporting a cohesive, safety‑mocused team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with the ability to guide, coach, and inspire a team.
• Forklift licence & experience (essential).
• Strong operational mindset and an understanding of KPIs, process efficiency, and problem-solving.
• Food safety awareness (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
• Reliable transport (Dover location requires own transport).
• A proactive, safety-first attitude.
• Australian working rights & willingness to complete pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead & supervise the Offload team, providing clear direction and support.
• Safely operate a forklift to handle and move product efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP), quality assurance, and workplace policies.
• Drive productivity to meet daily production targets.
• Champion safety and continuous improvement in operations.
