Job summary

South West Tractors in Young, NSW is seeking an experienced Agricultural Machinery Salesperson to join our friendly, high-performing team. You will build genuine relationships, understand customers’ businesses, and help farmers find machinery that works for them.

You’ll work with leading equipment, develop long-term customer partnerships, and be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package negotiated based on experience, skills, and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in agriculture is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and solutions.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with farmers and rural businesses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships and generate sales for new and used machinery.
• Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
• Forecast sales requirements and monitor pricing/programs.
• Order equipment and load stock appraisals with photos.
• Attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings.

You’ll work with a wide range of customers, represent some of the industry's leading equipment, and build relationships that last well beyond the sale.

The Opportunity

• Develop and maintain excellent long-term customer relationships and generate strong machinery sales for both new and used machinery.
• Presenting, promoting, and selling products/services to existing and prospective customers.
• Predicting sales requirements and working with current trends.
• Ordering equipment, monitoring pricing/programs and forecasting.
• Compile stock appraisals with pictures and load onto shared drive.
• Attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings.

About you

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural industry, equipment and solutions.
• Possess a current drivers’ licence.
• Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willing to continually expand your knowledge of farm machinery and the agricultural industry.
