Job description

Job Title: Salesforce Product & Technical Manager
Location: Remote
Role Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: Must align to Sydney, Australia (9:00am-5:00pm AEST, Mon–Fri)

Who Are We?

At Reef, we connect elite talent with high-growth companies building world-class teams.

We work exclusively with the top 3% of candidates and match them with established companies across Australia, New Zealand, the US, and UK that are serious about investing in their people and operational infrastructure.

We support your integration into these companies by providing additional training, admin/HR support, and access to our growing community of high-performing professionals.

About the Role

We’re seeking a senior Salesforce Product & Technical Lead to take full ownership of Salesforce, data quality, and CRM performance within a fast-growing, high-performance business.

This role goes beyond development - you will act as the owner of the Salesforce ecosystem, responsible for driving improvements, managing priorities, and ensuring the platform supports business outcomes effectively. You will work closely with internal stakeholders while managing a Salesforce Administrator, ensuring that both technical execution and day-to-day operations are aligned with broader business goals.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can both build and guide - combining strong Salesforce development capabilities with product thinking, prioritisation, and project ownership. You will be responsible for identifying gaps, pushing initiatives forward, and ensuring Salesforce evolves into a scalable, high-performing system that supports growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, driving clarity in ambiguous environments, and delivering both technical and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the Salesforce platform end-to-end, including performance, scalability, and data quality
  • Act as the primary point of ownership for Salesforce across the business
  • Prioritise and manage Salesforce-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Lead and manage a Salesforce Administrator, providing direction, oversight, and support
  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Design and maintain scalable CRM architecture and workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities across data and system processes
  • Drive improvements in data quality, hygiene, and usability across the platform
  • Oversee data enrichment, ingestion, and automation workflows
  • Manage integrations between Salesforce and external tools
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and data teams to align priorities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a live production environment
  • Build systems, documentation, and processes to support long-term scalability
  • Continuously improve system performance while reducing technical debt
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical resources
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce (Development + System Ownership)
  • Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and integrations
  • Proven experience taking ownership of Salesforce or CRM systems in a business environment
  • Experience managing or working closely with Salesforce Administrators
  • Strong product or systems-thinking mindset - able to prioritise and drive initiatives
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic oversight
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, governance, and best practices
  • Experience working in live production environments
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and push projects forward independently
  • High attention to detail, especially around data accuracy and system reliability
