GWG Recruitment is seeking a Sales Support Officer to assist clients of a nationwide depreciation schedule service for residential and commercial properties. You will demystify technical concepts, educate clients, and provide tailored advice while delivering a positive customer experience.
The role emphasizes supportive teamwork, learning and development, and a consultative culture where colleagues help with tricky questions. An entry to mid-level background in customer service is welcomed.
As a Sales Support Officer, you'll play a key role in assisting the amazing clients of this nationwide service provider of Depreciation Schedules (a document which is relied upon for your annual tax return) for residential and commercial properties.
That all sounds technical but stay with us! All you need to do is provide excellent customer service, ask the right four or five questions and give the client the right amount of education and advice.
The comprehensive onboarding and industry leading learning and development programs (which our client has down to an artform) will take care of the rest.
A typical day would involve responding to client requests for a quote via their website, calling to confirm receipt of quotes or finalised reports, field questions about the reports from time to time and handling inbound calls and online chat enquiries via the website.
This is not a pushy sales role. The business is a household name, the clients are referred to them by trusted advisors (accountants, financial planners, etc.) - you're not so much selling a product, but rather offering tailored advice & education - even if the advice is that the report isn't needed.
The business has fostered an extremely open and consultative culture - so you only need to spin around in your chair and one of your colleagues will help you field any tricky questions because across the team, there's not too many scenarios that haven't happened before.
The department is big on having fun at work while getting the job done, so expect your leadership team to be supportive, take an interest in your wellbeing and development and ensure you go home every day knowing you played a big part in the company's success.
While the business does prepare reports relied upon for tax returns, you don't need to be an accountant or bookkeeper, or come from a finance background.
The successful candidate would ideally bring:
Our client offers a positive, collaborative work environment that empowers team members to succeed.
