Job description

Aquent is seeking a talented and driven individual to join our client, a global leader in technology, as a key contributor to their mission of empowering organizations and individuals worldwide. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-growth, AI-powered sales team, driving digital transformation for education and nonprofit customers. Your work will directly strengthen vital institutions, ensuring people can thrive in an increasingly AI-driven economy by connecting them with trusted technology solutions.

Our client is at the forefront of technological innovation, dedicated to creating a more inclusive and prosperous future. They achieve this by strengthening education, social impact, and workforce systems through cutting-edge technology, training and strategic partnerships. Joining this team means contributing to a mission that widens the circle of opportunity, ensuring that technology delivers real-world impact and empowers communities globally.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to own and drive significant revenue growth. Contrary to the generic job title, this is not an administrative assistant role; you will operate as an independent sales leader, managing your own book of business and spearheading contract renewals and new opportunities. You will be instrumental in guiding education and nonprofit customers through their digital transformation journeys, helping them leverage advanced technology solutions to achieve their critical missions. If you thrive on independent work, strategic negotiations and closing impactful deals, this role offers a platform for substantial contribution and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage proactively with education and nonprofit customers to introduce and articulate the value of specialized support offerings, aligning solutions with their industry-specific digital transformation needs.
  • Collaborate closely with account teams and service partners to identify, qualify and track new sales opportunities, contributing to pipeline growth and incremental revenue.
  • Drive customer engagement through personal campaigns, portfolio analysis and social selling techniques, fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for technology adoption and growth.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand customer business objectives and technical readiness, proposing prioritized solutions that deliver tangible business impact.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, identifying key decision-makers and influencers, and participating in strategic discussions with customer leadership.
  • Develop and execute effective close plans, managing timelines, securing customer buy-in and mitigating risks to ensure predictable deal closure.
  • Leverage customer insights and industry knowledge to explore new business and emerging opportunities, optimizing the portfolio and supporting customer innovation.
  • Orchestrate sales and delivery success by collaborating with internal teams and providing feedback to enhance customer satisfaction and address any challenges.
  • Participate in business planning activities, contributing to account reviews and strategic planning for your assigned territory.
  • Conduct thorough business analysis, including whitespace analysis and industry trend identification, to pursue high-potential customers and develop targeted business strategies.
  • Manage the end-to-end business of your assigned territory, including forecasting and developing a comprehensive portfolio and territory plan aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Commit to continuous learning by completing required training and obtaining relevant product and role certifications.
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, services or support roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue and achieving quantified results.
  • Ability to work independently, managing a dedicated book of business and taking full ownership of the sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with experience handling customer objections and effectively driving deals to successful completion.
  • Proficiency in identifying customer business needs and proposing relevant technology solutions, including cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), business applications (e.g., Dynamics) and productivity suites (e.g., M365).
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, as well as collaborating effectively with internal account teams and dedicated deal support teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging customers in various formats including virtual meetings, seminars and workshops.
  • A dedicated remote work set‑up that includes a monitor, mouse, laptop and noise‑canceling headphones, with the ability to be on camera for customer interactions to maintain eye contact and manage multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of digital transformation concepts and their application across various industries.
  • Flexibility to align working hours with business and customer needs across different time zones.
Desired Attributes
  • Demonstrated career stability, showcasing consistent commitment and growth in previous roles.
  • Experience with proactive sales campaigns, such as portfolio analysis, to generate new opportunities.
  • Familiarity with social selling techniques to build customer relationships and expand networks.
  • A proactive approach to professional development, including seeking out and completing relevant product and role certifications.
