Job summary

4WD Supacentre is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high‑performing retail team and drive revenue growth across our Mackay store. This hands‑on leadership role spends ~80% on the sales floor coaching staff, supporting customer conversations, closing sales and modelling best practice.

You will report to the Store Manager, work with the 12V Sales Manager and Zone Manager, and develop plans to boost store performance while maintaining exceptional customer service and product knowledge across

• Proven experience leading a retail sales team.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue targets and improving sales performance.
• Excellent coaching and people-leadership skills.
• Comfort using KPIs and performance data to guide decisions.
• Experience managing rosters and workloads in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Genuine interest in outdoor, camping or adventure products.

Responsibilities

• Drive year-on-year sales growth and achieve revenue targets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day sales performance and work closely with the 12V Sales Manager, Store Manager and Zone Manager to achieve overall store objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving year‑on‑year sales growth and achieving daily, weekly and monthly revenue targets
• Leading, coaching and motivating the sales team to achieve individual and store KPIs
• Monitoring sales, conversion rate, average order value, items per sale and product attachments
• Leading from the front by completing sales, supporting customer conversations and helping close deals
• Identifying sales opportunities and taking immediate action to improve performance
• Developing sales plans and growth strategies with store and regional leadership
• Managing the performance and growth of assigned product categories outside 12V and refrigeration
• Adjusting rosters in response to customer demand and trading patterns
• Building repeat business through strong product knowledge and exceptional customer service
• Supporting showroom replenishment, visual merchandising standards and store presentation
• Promoting a safe, positive and performance‑driven workplace culture

About You

You are an energetic and commercially focused retail leader who enjoys being actively involved with customers and your team.

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading a retail sales team
• A strong record of achieving revenue targets and improving sales performance
• Confidence using sales KPIs and performance data to guide decisions
• Excellent coaching, communication and people‑leadership skills
• A proactive, action‑oriented approach to identifying and resolving challenges
• Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
• The ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced sales environment
• Experience managing rosters, workloads and team performance
• A genuine interest in outdoor, camping, automotive or adventure products
• Flexibility to work across retail trading hours, including weekends
