EVT Group's Rydges South Bank in Brisbane is hiring a Sales Executive to develop new sales opportunities and manage your account base with a focus on conference and events.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will work to the hotel's annual business and sales revenue plan, building relationships with decision makers across events and partnerships.

About the Role

As Sales Executive, you'll develop new sales opportunities and manage your account base to drive revenue, with a focus on conference and events. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you'll work to the hotel's annual business and sales revenue plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers, meeting planners and procurement contacts within your managed accounts.
• Prospect for new conference and events clients through cold and warm calling to build a strong pipeline.
• Identify need periods and develop strategies to drive business within them.
• Support sales initiatives such as site inspections, client entertainment, familiarisations and client gifting.
• Work with the Conference and Events Coordinator and operations teams to make sure sales commitments are delivered.
• Assist with monthly reports, forecasts and budgets, working to achieve and exceed targets.

What You'll Bring:

• Confidence building relationships with decision makers, meeting planners and procurement contacts.
• Comfort with cold and warm calling to generate new business.
• Strong research skills to understand clients and managed accounts.
• Good administration and organisation, including database input and client file tracking.
• A working knowledge of budget targets and a drive to exceed them.
• A positive, professional attitude and respect for business confidentiality.
• Willingness to attend business, social and industry events.
