Job summary

Check Point Software in Australia is seeking a Security Engineer to lead complex security engagements. You will design end-to-end security solutions, work with sales to map customer needs, and guide Proof-of-Value and workshops.

You bring a degree in computing, 7+ years of security engineering, and certifications such as CCNP or CISSP. Fluent English and strong communication complete the profile; you will join a distributed team delivering cutting-edge cyber security solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 7+ years of relevant security engineering experience.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CCSA, CCSE are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to recommend Check Point solutions meeting security needs.
• Provide insights and consultative advice based on best practices.
• Lead technical engagements including Proof-of-Value and cyber workshops.
• Demonstrate the full portfolio of Check Point solutions to protect operations.
• Drive meetings with customers to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFPs with bid teams.
• Engage partners and customers on the latest cybersecurity technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Your role in a nutshell
No two days for a Check Point Security Engineer are the same, from getting hands on with the most advanced technologies in the market, to learning more about the customer’s most pressing security challenges and playing a crucial part in designing a solution, you’re always at the heart of fascinating projects!
You will be responsible for

• Work closely with our Sales Team in providing recommendations on appropriate Check Point solutions to meet our customer’s cyber security needs.
• Provide insight and advice to potential and existing customers based on Check Point's best practice, applying your skills and knowledge in our industry to drive the optimal outcome.
• Lead the technical engagement, addressing technical questions, providing consultative advice and managing key tasks such as Proof-of-Value and Cyber Workshops
• Demonstrate our full portfolio of solutions that help keep organizations safe from threats and protect their operations and information
• Drive meetings with potential and existing customers to identify their problems and provide appropriate solutions
• Support the responses to RFI's & RFP's with the relevant bid teams
• Engage and support the enablement of key partners and customers on the latest Cyber Security Technologies.
• Active participation in cyber security events
• Keep timely update of activity reports and ensure timely communication with the Manager.

What You Bring To The Table

• Have a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent Industry experience
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant security engineering and pre-sales /post-sales/solution architect experience
• Must demonstrate solid understanding of Network Security principles and experience with Check Point Security Gateways or equivalent vendor solution
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have good understanding of typical customer architecture and cyber needs
• Are exposed to network, cloud and End Point security is advantageous
• Have a bring a customer first mindset and experience in working with large to medium enterprise organizations
• Have the ability to create an end-to-end security solution for a customer’s environment
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills
• As part of a distributed team of people, a strong sense of teamwork is required.
• Relevant certifications highly preferred, e.g. CCNP / CISSP/ CCSA / CCSE
• Fluent in English - written and verbal
